Thanksgiving in Five Pictures

1. We had a little bit of Portugal here with us. During Luisa's recent visit to Portugal, her father gave us several bottles of this amazing wine so we opened two for today. 2. Even though the turkey's leg got stuck in the rack when we tried to flip it, we managed. Luisa makes a delicious turkey.

3. Did I mention that Luisa also made some rosemary bread this morning?

4. As always, we set the table with my mother's china which brings me joy every year.

5. I found this last picture when I sat down to write this post. Zeca and our friend's daughter, Luca--both born on March 4th, though not the same year. I'm including it here because it reminds me that life is full of lovely surprises.
