Listen to Your Mother - Twin Cities

I am so excited to announce that I am part of the team that will be bringing Listen to Your Mother to the Twin Cities in May of 2013! I have known for a few weeks and it has been killing me to keep it quiet. For those who don't know what LTYM is, I took the following from the website:

LTYM is a national series of live readings by local writers in celebration of Mother's Day. Born of the creative work of mothers who publish online, each production is directed, produced and performed by local communities for local communities.

You should head to the main site for more information and, in the days and weeks to come, more information about the show right here in the Twin Cities while appear on the site.

I'd like to give a shout out to the local team and link to their blogs because they are an incredible trio of women who are all very good with The Words:

Heather King

Tracy Morrison

and

Galit Breen

I had the pleasure of having lunch with all three last weekend and they are all compassionate, smart, funny women - my favorite kind.

I would also like to thank the creator of LTYM, Ann Imig, for trusting us with her baby.

So, I will be sharing lots of LTYM-related things with you in the coming months as we create the first ever show here in the Twin Cities.

Sidenote (or bottom note really, can't call this a footnote exactly): I would like you to know that it took a lot of restraint for me to not fill this entire post with superlatives and exclamation points. Instead, I created a new category for things like this called "Exciting things!" and only used one exclamation point (excluding the one in the category). One. Pretty good for something this exciting. I think I earned a cookie, don't you?
